We usually order out but on this day, my three boys and I decided to eat inside. As soon as we walked in...we were greeted by a young girl (4 years old) who was sitting in a booth putting puzzles together...she asked my boys if they "wanted to play" and of course, they said "yes"...they all sat in the booth and worked on putting a couple of puzzles together (this little girl is always there so I'm assuming she is the daughter of the owner). As they were playing, I ordered our food...two orders of sweet and sour chicken and an egg roll. The food was out very quickly and as always, the food was good. The little girl decided to eat with us, which was fine as I told the "mother/owner" that "it was absolutely ok for her to do so" ... We had fun and at the end of it all ... well after she took the boys to see all the fish in the fish tank (kinda cool, nice size with alot of fish) ... the owner gave all the kids popsicles. Boys had fun, the little girl was cute, the owner/mom was very kind, and the service and food were pretty good... They were very busy throughout our time there as several folks were coming in and out to place and/or pick-up orders... I can't think of a better spot for Chinese food in Winfield.

Second time ordering from the place, first time when they first open wasn't impressed with combo fried rice. Rice was a little hard and meat was not fresh. Second time order sesame chicken again my fault for given a second chance. Took ten minutes chicken was difficult to eat, it seem like it was freezer burned be heat, which made it very difficult to eat, again rice was cold. Spent less then ten dollar and will not return.

I ordered sweet and sour pork...it was nothing more than tiny bits of meat on corn dog breading served on a Styrofoam plate. I took it up to the counter and s=asked where the pineapple onion and green peeper were hiding. The man behind the counter was rude and could have cared less. We spent 45 dollars for junk served on Styrofoam plates and soup served in potato salad containers..Never Again

This is a very nice place for Chinese takeout or if you preferred you can dine-in, in their small dinning area. The food here has always been tasty and our orders have always been correct. Give it a try and don't listen to one star food critics.

To clarify the previous comment this restaurant is in Crown Point. I wished the food was better and that same woman/owner is incredibly rude. She doesn't wash her hands after she takes money and then drops your egg roll which I am sure if a health code violation. Also she doesn't seem to know how to count back change. Order Bourbon chicken my husband ordered General Tso's chicken and we both got the same sauce. I wished I could be sure that I actually ate chicken, looked more like mystery meat. Will not be returning to such a dreadful place.

The food here is TERRIBLE. It is not appetizing and both of our dishes had an overwhelming amount of onions. There was very little meat and vegetables, and just a big mouthful of onions. The teenage boy that took our order was very rude. This boy also had his computer set up at one of the customer's tables. I feel that when restaurant workers occupy one of the customer's tables, this appears very unprofessional. By the way, if you are looking for a very good Chinese meal, go to RISING SUN in either Peotone, Frankfort, or Mokena Illinois--you can compare Rising Sun's food to the slop served up at China Garden, and then make your choice.

If I could give this place a negative, I would. Food was disgusting, but the service was THE worst. I will not go into details, but if you want to support a restaurant that hates Americans be my guest. I will not. This is my second time eating here because I thought there is no way these people can be this rude when I went in the first time. Guess what....it is only getting worse. DISGUSTING on all accounts, food and service.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
